Welcome to my new blog! I can’t see you but I’m excited that we get to meet here. I’ve always had these crazy thoughts floating around in my head…and for some reason, I was convinced that no one would be able to relate. Full disclosure? I still am, but I figure…what’s the harm? I may just find my fellow weirdos. And if you don’t fall into that category, I guess I’ll serve as entertainment LOL. Totally cool with me.

A little about me: My name is Temi and Tope – it’s Temitope but my friends call me Tee! I’m from Nigeria, born and raised. Okay, I lied but it just sounds pretty cool and cliché to say that. I was actually born in the Netherlands, but raised in Naija. My Naija people, where we dey?! Somehow I ended up in Canada..Ontario to be precise. But we’ll save my bio for another time lol.

I’m your typical introvert( I think ) and I’m pretty sure that was a major factor in deciding to start a blog. We introverts dey try sha ooo. Abeg, how much our brain fit carry? I need a catharsis, I don’t want to wait for my head to explode before I channel my thoughts to a constructive outlet. So here I am, giving this a shot.

A little about this blog: I have to be honest, I’m not quite sure where I’m going with this . It’s 12:55am and I randomly decided to start a blog so I guess it’s no surprise that I don’t exactly have a map drawn out. What I do know is that there is no single umbrella for what I plan to do here. My mind is constantly generating ideas because I happen to have a number of interests ranging from Music, Poetry, Films, Food, Spirituality/Faith, all the SHIPS (friendships, relationships, etc) and just LIFE in general.

I’m an ART lover in all its many forms, but a Scientist by trade (Computer scientist to be precise). Okay PAUSE, It felt soooo cool to say that , my years of Suffering in UNI were not in vain oo LMAOO.. #TheStruggle #MommaIMadeIt – I digress, get used to it Lol. I hope that this blog does a good job of capturing things that many of us can relate to or things that some of us can relate to at least. Ultimately, since I’m writing from my experience, it’s things that I relate to. And that’s where my blog name came from — TEELATABLE. In case you missed it, my nickname is Tee, so it basically means things that I re….. Actually, no, if you still don’t get it, shame on you! Jk Jk. You get a PASS…….this time.

Why Should you read my stuff: I have a million answers to this question.

Number ONE: For your sanity. By the time you’re done reading some of the stuff that goes on in my head, You might leave wondering why you thought you were abnormal. Because you will be thinking “My case never reach her own” Translation- “I’m not as crazy as her” . You’re welcome, I am happy to provide this service. I want you to feel better. Don’t worry about me, I will be fine. I know I’ve got issues and that’s why I’m here.

Number TWO: Because you want to grow. I know I’m joking a lot in this post but I’ve truly learnt from a lot of experiences in my life and you shouldn’t have to go through the same things. Let me save you the stress. I certainly don’t have all the answers( not even close) but what I have, I’ll share. And if it only helps one person, it has served purpose.

Number THREE: Because I need you to take a chance on ya girl!!! Plixx Plixx Ooo. I want to grow too. And that involves me getting constructive criticism, I’m a sucker for that. I’m working on myself daily and part of the work involves being vulnerable. I may not do it the typical way but here’s to dipping my toes in the water. #CHEERS!

Bonus: For your entertainment! I’m no comedian but aswear, I have the funniest things floating around in my mind sometimes. Let me share my humor with you. WARNING: It gets dark sometimes but Nigerians have mastered the art of smiling when suffering, it makes life vibrant and sometimes that itty-bitty chuckle is all you need to get through your day. Okay this is getting too long…I’ll stop here.
