IT’S TRANSITION SEASON!
Happy New Year Y’all! 🎉 I’ve been saying this a lot and if you’ve been with me in person, it might have gotten annoying hearing this but it is SO important. It IS a transition season for many.
God has put me in a place where I’ve been able to see Him nudge and move people to do bold and audacious things in this season. Things that logically make no sense. I’ve watched people leave jobs simply because God said so. I’ve seen people start ministry in ways they seem visibly unequipped to. I’ve seen people start businesses they have ZERO background in in line with God’s prompting. I’ve seen people being told to simply sit at home and seek Him… That’s it – Seek Him. The beauty of that is we know everything else we need will be added when we do that.
There is no shadow of doubt in my mind that this a major transition season. It’s happening so much around me that it is only common sense for me to recognize that something’s coming.
“They furnish wine and lovely music at their grand parties—lyre and harp, tambourine and flute—
but they never think about the Lord or notice what he is doing.”

Why is there a sudden push for people to step out of the norm? Why are difficult transitions being demanded? Why is the Lord asking “hard” things of us? Why is there a restlessness we feel remaining in our comfort zones all of a sudden? Why is there clearly an overflow of the Spirit and power being poured out? One Word – Empowerment.
In the old testament, almost every time we see the Spirit of the Lord come upon a person, it was in preparation for a work the Lord had purposed for them. We see this, for example, in the book of Judges. We repeatedly see the phrase “The Spirit of the Lord came upon X”. This is seen in the story of Saul, Samuel, Samson, Othniel, Gideon, Jephthah etc. Today, we’ve been gifted with the Holy Spirit on the inside of us if we’ve accepted Christ – an indwelling. However, within many, we have allowed the power to lie dormant and have quenched the Spirit for a long time. In this season, there is a stirring in the body of Christ like never before, enlightening us that we need to put our hands to the plow. Veils are being lifted. Change is coming. Are you prepared for the Shift?
A primary means by which God prepares us for things to come is instruction(s).
Are you heeding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit? Your obedience could very well save your life. It’s a set up for what is to come in the very best way! Use the advantage you have and KEY IN. Be sensitive.
“If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.”

In 2020, with various world events that we’re all privy to, God in His graciousness used that season to humble people and draw them to Him. He allowed people to see the beauty in submitting to the creator instead of grappling for control, or settling for the illusion of it. If nothing else, Covid showed us that absolutely no man is in control of anything and humans are limited. Not only are humans limited, but so is everything they can produce . There is only one is without limits – Yahweh Himself.
As many got the memo, surrendered their lives to Jesus and fell into the loving arms that have been waiting all along to catch them, the Holy Spirit made consistent deposits. You need to understand this, the things that God has given you are to be multiplied. Much like a mutual funds, part of how we function on the earth are like investments accounts. Now more than ever, since the last quarter of 2022 till now, I believe God is saying to many of His children – “It’s time for a return on my investment” . This is what He was saying to me. What have you done with the vision and insight God has given you? What have you done with the revelation? What have you done with the thing He has given you to steward? Are you just stuffing up on instructions and not walking them out? How are you stewarding the ability to hear and recognize the voice of God?
Remember the men with the talents? Do you recall what was said to the man with the one talent who hid his gift and brought no return?
“You wicked and lazy servant…….why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.”

Do you remember the first commission to man? Be fruitful and MULTIPLY! The problem is, way too many of us have buried what God put in our hands instead of planting it. The difference between those two is that one involves consistency, intentionality and action e.g watering, while the other does not. If you would plant it… put your seed in the ground and do the work, in due time it would produce fruit. If you would invest it, it would yield return.
You know what’s worse about inactivity in disobedience to God’s instruction? We’re actually robbing God. My God. Think about this for a second – there was a time when $5 could buy you a lot more than 2 chocolate bars. As time goes on, the value of money is depreciating. The amount of money that you would have used to buy a car 20 years ago is almost incomparable to what it would cost now. Without investing, you’re losing money. Without investing, what you have in your hand is reducing in value. This is why it is important to do things in season and not delay. He is a restorer, yes, but the point is – God’s timing is intentional.
Clearly, this is not a post about money… but it very well could be money for you. What is the seed in your hand that God has told you to put in the ground? I’ll tell you mine. For me, it was wisdom. It was wisdom, insight and revelation. And I’ll be honest, I feel a little weird saying that because I still have a LOT to learn but the insight God had been giving me was not meant to stay only with me. God told me to start a podcast more than 6 months ago and I didn’t move on it with the urgency it demanded. I recorded haphazardly many times, wrote a bunch of revelations and “planned” but when He said step out of the boat, I kept my feet planted on the ground. I soon realized the most secure place I could be is in alignment with God. I prayed and sought Him for confirmation and He didn’t fail to deliver. I promise you, He confirmed the instruction more than 15 times leaving no room for doubt in my mind. I had a hundred reasons why not to do it. I had one reason to do it and that one reason blew the 100 out of the water – “Because God said so”. And as of Jan 1st, I did it. Finally, In Position podcast was put out to the world.

Sooo I ask you today, what is that seed God has told you to plant? God was patient and merciful with me and He still is. I have not arrived. I am still learning, and praying to act in quick obedience. He is patient with you too but we must not abuse this because we do not know when the clock will run out. Your obedience could very well save your life.
Just as the title of this blog implies, there is a shift happening. God is strategically placing people in positions to be conduits. To be equipped, not just for them , but to be a blessing to others as well. Personally, I don’t have a clear picture of what God wants to establish through this podcast and quite frankly, I feel very unqualified. Yet, I don’t have to worry about that cause He’s with me. And neither do you – He’s with us. The assignment being bigger than us just makes the need for divine partnership that much more apparent. His instructions are always for our good and for His glory.
